Will the USA eSIM work on my phone?

Your phone must support eSIM, be unlocked for use with other carriers, and support the destination network. Check your exact model and regional version with the manufacturer before buying. An Add eSIM option in your mobile settings is a useful first check.

Can I keep my own number active at the same time?

Yes, on a dual SIM phone. Your usual SIM stays active for WhatsApp and other apps while the travSIM eSIM handles data and local calls, so you can be reached on both. You choose which line is the default for calls and data in your phone settings.

How is my USA eSIM delivered?

Delivery is by email; no physical SIM card is posted. The first email provides access to book your activation. Its QR code or link is for the activation request, not for installing the eSIM. The installation QR code is emailed on your chosen activation date.

How do I activate and install my USA eSIM?

Open the activation link in your order email, enter your details and choose your travel date. Submit the request early: activation can take up to 24 hours. Once the installation QR code arrives, connect to Wi-Fi or another internet connection and add the eSIM in your phone settings. See our installation guidance or contact us if you need help.

Can I make international calls with the USA plan?

International calling is optional. Choose Add International calls in the product options if you need calls from the USA to supported international destinations. The standard option does not include this add-on. Check with us before ordering if you need a particular destination.

Do I get a US phone number with the eSIM?

Yes. Every travSIM USA eSIM includes its own dedicated US phone number with unlimited calls and texts within the USA, issued on your activation date. Most travel eSIMs are data only, so you can be reached on a genuine US number rather than only through internet apps.

Can I use the USA eSIM as a hotspot?

No. Tethering and hotspot sharing are not available on the USA eSIM, so data can only be used on the device the eSIM is installed on. If you need to share a connection with a laptop or a second phone, a second eSIM is the better option.

Are calls and texts unlimited?

Yes, unlimited within the USA. Calls and texts to any US number are included on every plan at no extra cost. To call outside the USA you need the international calling option, which adds unlimited calls from the USA to more than 70 destinations.

When should I request activation?

Send your activation request three to five days before you travel, using the activation page. Requests are processed in Pacific Standard Time and can take up to 24 hours, so booking early avoids delays. Your plan does not start counting down until the activation date you choose.

Does the USA eSIM work outside the USA?

No. The USA eSIM only works within the United States, including Puerto Rico. Other destinations each have their own travSIM eSIM.
